The German Bundeswehr Reservist Association needed a modern, flexible media infrastructure – specifically for training and courses that could take place anywhere. Our task was clear: make media production easier, faster, and more efficient – to optimally support the valuable work of the volunteers. Until now, outdated technology hindered efficient production and distribution of training content. The requirements were high: different locations, tight schedules, and users with varying levels of technical knowledge. A solution was needed that would simplify complex processes, be mobile, and deliver professional results.
Together with the Reservist Association, we thoroughly analyzed the requirements. The goal: to implement a unified system that could be used both on the move and in a stationary setup, with intuitive handling – without compromising on quality. We developed and delivered 16 mobile video studios in a practical suitcase format, along with two stationary systems for the association's headquarters in Bonn and Berlin.
The mobile studio solutions were specifically designed for fast, flexible deployment in the field. Each system includes a 4K handheld camera, a remote-controllable 4K pan-tilt camera, a gimbal camera, a preview monitor with a control case, as well as microphones, audio equipment, and LED lighting. The transmission is stable via bundled LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet connections, supported by an external dual-dome antenna. All components are field-ready, compactly packed in suitcases, and designed for durability and ease of use. With short setup times, the systems are ready to go in minutes – perfectly tailored to field requirements.
We didn’t just design the systems; we also delivered them turnkey and trained the on-site team. Thanks to user-friendly operation, all systems are immediately operational – no extensive technical know-how needed. With the new solutions, realistic training scenarios can be recorded on-site and used for training – either live or as on-demand content. The volunteers of the Reservist Association now have more flexibility, making it easier for them to balance their volunteer work with their professional and family commitments.
