I.T.E.N.O.S. has rolled out a series of workshops designed to introduce agile working methods to over half of its workforce, including key managers. These workshops aim to increase collaboration, flexibility, and efficiency, empowering employees with the tools needed to navigate today's dynamic work environment.
The IT service provider I.T.E.N.O.S. offers customized solutions in the areas of connectivity, IT infrastructure and data centers, as well as access control and managed services. For various reasons, the company has decided to reorganize its own working methods. The key driver for the decision to adopt agile practices was the realization that the traditional approaches and methods previously used no longer fit the organization.
In line with this, employee Patrick Glawe, as part of his master's thesis, extensively delved into the topic of "Agile Working." Another influence for the modernization of work organization was the Deutsche Telekom AG, the parent company, which has increasingly transitioned its corporate structures to that of an agile organization.
I.T.E.N.O.S. is an IT service provider and telecommunications expert with more than 220 employees, headquartered in Bonn. As a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG, I.T.E.N.O.S. provides individual solutions to its customers in the areas of connectivity, IT infrastructure, data centers, access control, and managed services.
We conducted numerous workshops involving over half of I.T.E.N.O.S.' entire workforce, including leadership. The primary focus was on "Agile Management" and "Agile Working with Scrum and Kanban." To introduce agility and the associated mindset, we employed various innovative methods, including LegoScrum, Kanban Pizza Game, Moving Motivators, and Delegation Poker.
Patrick Glawe, Product Manager of Business Unit Data LogistIX & PSPO, commented, "We are actively exploring the use of agile methods in all areas. The leadership and hands-on workshop with Qvest supported us in understanding how and where the use of agile practices can be implemented." Additionally, an "Agile Working" focus group was established, regularly exchanging progress updates within the company and supporting individual teams and groups as PSPO and PSM.
