TIVEE is an HbbTV app available in DNMG cable networks, offering a range of ad-supported FAST channels across various genres on a single channel slot. The app starts automatically when a connected TV is online, allowing users to navigate easily with color and arrow keys. No additional installation is required, and it's compatible with HbbTV devices from 2018 onwards. TIVEE provides access to diverse content, including movies, documentaries, and music, and DNMG leads the way in integrating modern internet TV with traditional cable networks. 

Customer challenges & needs

• Customer retention:
  The removal of the ancillary cost privilege led to customer loss, as cable connection fees are no longer automatically included in utility costs.
   
• Competitive advantage:
  DNMG needed to offer a new solution to help cable providers retain customers in a competitive environment.

  Combining the popularity of FAST channel streaming (as seen in the USA) with the wide usage of HbbTV technology in Germany was essential to offering a broad array of content through a single distribution channel.

  Qvest Engage developed an innovative OTT solution that merges the FAST channel (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) model with HbbTV (Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV) technology, ensuring the following:
