How do you modernize one of the leading media brands in the Arab world without interrupting broadcast operations? With an IP-based infrastructure, automated workflows, and seamless system integration. The result: greater efficiency, scalability, and creative flexibility that elevate Sky News Arabia’s (SNA) broadcasting operations to a new level.
Sky News Arabia is one of the top brands of the International Media Investment Group (IMI). The project was implemented in the new IMI building on Yas Island (Abu Dhabi). As the master systems integrator, we developed, delivered, and implemented the new studios and the entire media architecture. The migration plan, jointly developed with IMI, ensured that operations continued smoothly. An SMPTE ST-2110-compliant infrastructure ensures that third-party systems like Avid, Vizrt, and Telestream are seamlessly integrated.
The focus: efficiency. The new workflows automate the entire production process—from ingest to editing, transcoding, and distribution. This significantly enhances scalability and fault tolerance. Redundant security mechanisms further safeguard broadcast operations at all times.
New technology is only as strong as the people who use it. That’s why we provided intensive training for the SNA team and offered six months of on-site support. This ensured that the new infrastructure was not only smoothly implemented but also optimally utilized.
In addition to the broadcast transformation, our experts for Control & Communication installed state-of-the-art digital signage solutions at the Yas Creative Hub. Large-scale LED walls and high-resolution monitors create the stage for a strong brand presence and immerse visitors in an impressive visual experience.
Sky News Arabia has established a state-of-the-art broadcast environment that enhances operational efficiency and supports the transition to a modern, story-centric production model. By using cutting-edge technologies and precise project execution, Qvest Media positions SNA as a leader in digital and broadcast innovation.
